The Policy Kitchen Platform is managed by foraus - Swiss Forum in Foreign Policy. foraus is committed to respect your privacy and to comply with applicable data protection and privacy laws. Outlined below are the policies we use to protect your privacy and safeguard any information you entrust to us. If you do not agree with any of these policies, do not use Policy Kitchen or provide us with your data.
Personal data
If you register for the Policy Kitchen online community, we collect your email address and name. If you choose to provide it, we also maintain your address, telephone number, function, organization, interests, expertise and avatar, as well as any content you create on the platform. Collecting this information has the purpose of creating a vibrant policy innovation community based on a open and transparent conversation.
Your email address is added to our mailing list. This list is used for our communications regarding the Policy Kitchen community. If you ever decide you do not want these updates, you can request to be removed from the list by editing your preferences using the link within the email, by replying to the email with the request to be removed, or by emailing the request to be removed to it@foraus.ch.
Except as may be expressly provided in this policy, no personal data of a visitor to the Policy Kitchen website is collected. You request a copy of your personal data that we have on file at any time by writing an email to it@foraus.ch.
Non-personal data
Our servers may automatically recognize the following information: visitors' IP addresses (the number assigned to internet connections), Internet service provider, browser type, computer platform, referring website, date and time of access, and links clicked through.
Our website uses the 3rd parties services such as CleanTalk Anti-Spam & Security and Google Analytics. They can store and process your IP address. CleanTalk can use Cookies to manage access to the website by the CleanTalk SpamFireWall Function, to secure and to protect this website from spam. Your IP address may be saved in the server log files, CleanTalk Anti-Spam & Security log files, and Google Analytics.
No personal information about you is revealed in this process. Our website may also gather anonymous "traffic data" that does not personally identify you. The purpose of collecting such data is to improve the services we offer

Removing data from our systems
We only keep your data as long as you maintain an account on Policy Kitchen and subscribe to our mailings.
You may cancel your account at any time following the simple steps explained here. When cancelling your account, you can choose whether the content you uploaded remains intact, is unpublished, or anonymized. You may also request your data to be removed by writing your request to it@foraus.ch.
