Climate change and the related policies to counter it is one of the greatest challenges of our time. The European Union (EU) has set a political milestone with the European Green Deal. In Switzerland, too, despite the rejection of the Co2 Law in 2021, the reduction of Co2 emissions and other climate-damaging practices is on the political agenda. However, climate policy is only relevant if it is designed and thought of from a cross-border perspective.
How will EU climate policy affect Switzerland in the long term? What are the opportunities for future cooperation? We want to include the perspectives of EU citizens living in Switzerland in the public discourse about the shared future between Switzerland and the EU and discuss these questions during our workshop on climate policy.
Important note: Please bring a laptop with you for the second workshop part.

This event is part of a series of workshops in three Swiss cities and online organized as part of the project "EU citizens in Switzerland: your voice, your opinion". The goal of our project is to include the perspectives of EU citizens living in Switzerland in the public discourse about the shared future between Switzerland and the EU. More information here. Hintergrund
Der Klimawandel und die damit verbundene Klimapolitik ist eine der grössten Herausforderungen unserer Zeit. Mit dem European Green Deal hat die Europäische Union einen politischen Meilenstein gesetzt. Auch in der Schweiz ist, trotz Ablehnung des Co2 Gestzes 2021, die Reduktion der Co2 Emissionen und anderen klimaschädlichen Praktiken auf der politischen Agenda. Doch Klimapolitik ist nur relevant wenn sie grenzüberschreitend betrachtet wird.
Wie wirkt sich die EU Klimapolitik langfristig auf die Schweiz aus? Welche Chancen bestehen zur zukünftigen Zusammenarbeit? Wir möchten die Perspektiven von EU Bürger:innen, welche in der Schweiz leben, in die öffentliche Debatte zur gemeinsamen Zukunft zwischen der Schweiz und der EU miteinbeziehen und diese Fragen in unserem Workshop zu Klimapolitik diskutieren. Im zweiten Teil des Workshops werden Teilnehmende gemeinsam Visionen zur zukünftigen Zusammenarbeit zwischen der Schweiz und der EU entwickeln. Essen und Getränke werden während des Workshops angeboten um die Diskussionen und den Denkprozess zu begleiten!
Dieser Workshop wird von foraus und der Anny Klawa-Morf Stiftung organisiert. Er ist Teil der Serie, welche in 3 Schweizer Städten und online im Rahmen des Projektes “EU-Bürger:innen in der Schweiz: eure Stimme, eure Meinung!” durchgeführt wird. Ziel des Projektes ist es Perspektiven von EU Bürger:innen, welche in der Schweiz leben, in die öffentliche Debatte zur gemeinsamen Zukunft zwischen der Schweiz und der EU miteinzubeziehen.
