Hi everyone:) Glad to meet everyone here. I am a university student with focus on political science and data science. Apart from that, I am a human rights/asylum rights activist. Looking forward to new policy challenges in this area!
In the meanwhile, I am taking part in a data visualization course for which I am still looking for a project to practice my new analyzing and visualizing skills. So if anyone is working with a data set/ knows of a dataset in this policy field that would like to be explored, please let me know.
Cheers:)

7 months ago PublicHello,
Colleagues from the Association for Juridical Studies on Immigration released a report on the living conditions of migrants detained in Italy (probably not far from what happens in other countries). An eye-opening document about the dark side of migration policies. I'd be glad to have your feedback.Download the 25-page report

Max here from Ponto. I’d like to cordially invite you all to our upcoming online event from our Migration group titled “The Future of the EU’s New Pact on Migration and Asylum: Perspectives from the EU and its member states”
It is taking place on Tuesday, October 5, from 18:30 – 19:45 CEST via Zoom.
We have assembled an all-star cast (to quote Mark Leonard) including Melanie Fink from Leiden University who will discuss shortcomings of the new pact related to Frontex plus three other equally interesting and engaging topics.
Please register for the event by following this link: https://form.jotform.com/211714842581354

Looking forward to seeing many of you there!

9 months ago PublicHello everyone! I hope you are feeling energized by a wonderful summer.
We will soon start recording our five visionaries stories and are still looking for a 50-60 year old female voice from East Africa to read Rose's story set in 2050`!
The recording will be done virtually and will take place at the end of September, beginning of October and last about 1 hour. A mini audition will take place next week. Small compensation is negotiable.
Please share it with your friends and family and feel free to contact me with any questions. Warmest regards, Wailea

1 year ago PublicHello everyone! I hope the sun shines for you too, wherever you are in the world!
Very excited to give an update on the next steps and timeline for the envisioned podcast and policy brief.
It took a little longer than expected, but we now agreed on the next steps, the timetable and the setup of working groups. Would you like to participate in the post-workshop writing phase? Have a look at the overview of the consolidated timeline / next steps under the topic “Quo vadis? Envisioning human mobility for 2050 continuum” and get back to me, I am more than happy to link you with the respective person in the lead.
Please do not hesitate to get back with any other questions either
Warm regards,
Wailea
