On Saturday, 15th of September, Policy Kitchen celebrated its official launch in Lausanne.

The event was a full success as we had lively discussions and a great exchange of knowledge among all participants. We have had the pleasure to welcome a wide range of participants: from IUCN employees to a member of parliament. In addition, the three experts Simona Kobel from Pro Natura, Dr. Maria J. Santos from the University of Zurich and Thomas Wirth from WWF all joined us to share their expertise on the matter.

Lausanne Policy Cooking Day

The outcome of this Policy Cooking Day:

All participants joined forces to tackle the three different challenge questions. In teams of 2-3, we generated 4 ideas on how to conserve biodiversity on a global level. However, the work is not done yet. These ideas are now uploaded on this platform - ready for you to contribute your comments on them to further refine these already existing ideas. You can even ask for co-authorship to join a team or share your new ideas on the platform.

We thank all participants for joining the Policy Cooking Day in Lausanne and are excited for this community to grow - phyisically as well as digitally. Only together we can come up with the best solutions to conserve biodiversity!
